It's great to hear that you guys are hosting a T/D series at Lebanon Valley........ it's even better that you mentioned that there will be a new track surface......... can we assume that the engineers and contractors will be addressing the water table problem and that water will not be coming through the track surface anymore???
What was the average bump for your races this season???........ I might be able to get in on some of your action.......... |

Thanks for the interest in the series the water problem is being fixed by the new surface the water problem was found to be a reaction to the type of compound that was being used ....it was holding moisture under it until the sun heated it up.....so yes the water problem will be gone ...if you know the track you will know it was pretty smooth before.....the average bump is expected to be around 7.50-7.60 the fields are subjet to change we dont want to have 50 cars show and try to make a 8 car field the max field will be 32 and payouts will grow accordingly ....we are looking forward to alot of fast and fun racing......hoping to see you and many more there the schedule is done and will be posted soon at www.dragway.com ......
also any sponsors interested in joining us please feel free to contact us ......all are welcome |

Brian,
This is great news! We can never have enough T/D races in the Northeast. As you know we have worked very hard to build the series over at Newengalnd Dragway and this year is going to be even better. We got confirmation from the track today that we can have 16 races over 8 weekends. That’s all double races so the racers can come in Friday night and stay for the weekend. Many of the weekends also have a TOP Eliminator race so the racers can get three shots at the big money which will pay over $1500 to win this year. It would be nice if you could do your best to work around our dates so that A) we don’t compete with each other and B) we can come out to run some of your races. Our official schedule is: May 2/3 & 16/17 June 6/7 & 13/14 July 11/12 & 18/19 August 8/9 September 5/6 If you would like to discuss any of this or talk more about working together, let me know. Anyone else interested in racing be sure and check out www.topdragster.com for the latest updates. Phil Berger Td1223@gmail.com Last edited by TD1223; 11-26-2008 at 10:10 PM. |

It's good to hear that it's coming together. Like Phil said you can't have enough top dragster racing in the area. I know Wayne was trying really hard to not have too many overlapping weekends as many of us would like to be able to run both series. Judging by the turn out of 10/18 and 10/19 at LVD I think its going to be a great deal. Those races were put together in less than one week thanks to Wayne's hard work and Andy from BEST Sanitation for really stepping up, going above and beyond and making it happen. It sounds like Howard and Steve are on board to work with us and make it successful as well.
