With production car gear ratios in a three speed trans at roughly 2.5-1.5-1.0 . It would seem like a first gear ratio of 2.0 would be much better. Equal spacings between the ratios. especially in a light weight high horsepower car. Any thoughts on this.

Those gear combinations are available from many vendors such as Pro-Trans, Coan and others.

I'm very happy with my 2.10/1.40/1:1 TH-400
Bought the Kilgore gear set back in '99, had the unit built local with the t-brake and some other goodies from Coan. http://www.kilgoretrans.com/index.html |
