Default Challenger Drag Pak?

I heard there was a new Challenger in full drag race trim testing at Mid-Michigan the last two days. Any one see it?

They have been playing with the idea of releasing a S/S package car similar to the '68 Hurst Darts and Barracudas. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were testing by now, but Chrysler used to use Milan all the time for their testing purposes.

Don't be surprised if you start hearing about a Ford Mustang package as well - seems all 3 of the good ol' boys from Detroit are looking to go head to head with a drag package.

There is a small article about it in the August edition of Mopar Muscle in the Mopar Nationals section.
Only 100 will be built
Priced in the mid 30’s
The article states only racers currently campaigning a car will be allowed to purchase one. They say it will be 1000# lighter than a production SRT8 which weighs in at over 4100# at that weight I think it’s a natural D car. At 3100 i think its to light for AA The rest of the article kind of confuses me when they are talking lexan windows, destroked motors and carburetors on normally fuel injected motors and calling it a stocker.

We got our first Challenger of 6. Price about 42K, no sun roof. We selling them for sticker. Some dealers in the metro markets adding 10 or 20 k if they can. Nice car. Nice fit and finish. Real attention getter.

Selling for the sticker is quite honorable. I bet you've got a waiting list. A friend of mine is awaiting his car and I almost positive he paid 15K over sticker.
