Default What Faster?

Just wanted to know what was faster, Gas or Alky. Thanks.

Gas will go through you fast and alky will get you a DWI if the cops catch you.

Well Alky will make a more midrange torque but from what we have seen on the dyno the more expensive racing gas will make about the same peak HP.
Thr real advantage to alky (naturally aspirated) is that it's less sensitive to weather changes so Alky tends to be somewhat more consistent.
Alky is also a little cheaper than the best racing gas even when you factor into it the cost of the top oil and the fact that you will use twice as much.
But alky is little higher maintenance. and IMO usually works better with fuel injection rather than a carburetor.

On my 3000 lb door car with a pretty much stock engine it picked up a 1/2 second going to alcohol but with the stroker motor thats in it now its 2 tenths faster at best
