Because all he sees around town driving them are high school girls or parked at a trailer house. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin. Cavalier would never be on my list of cool fast cars if I had no idea of Super Stock.

All combinations have variable advantages. Where a Pontiac lacks a Chevy gains, and vice versa, as far as combination advantages go. Chevy's HP factors are equally as spurious as Pontiac's Edelbrock replacements. Phil/Peter's versus Silveus' heads-up run will prove that to you. Power versus Weight; simple physics.
There is a devoid history, for the 428 Pontiac, prior to the release of the Edelbrock replacements. Having said that, I wouldn't exactly jump to conclusions on the potential of the combination using factory castings. Instead of spending time mathematically comparing 10 CFM versus ~100lbs, I can tell you that the aluminum heads are futile, as far as performance goes. Like Stacy said, they're just nice, cheap replacements. Plus, Indians have been getting pooped on for centuries. It's our turn! :0) All in all, I'm just excited that SuperStock isn't as monotonous as it used to be. I'm havin some fuuuuuunnn!! |

BES is Tony Bischoff out of Guilford, IN. He has either won or runnered up in the last 4-5 Engine Master Challenges. When it comes to N/A power, he the the best I can afford since Mike Edwards wont cash my checks. He has made a name for himself in the fastest street car world in the NMCA and NMRA building the fastest , most reliable, highest horsepower motors. He doesn't specialize in one engine brand. he builds wicked sbc, sbf, bbc, bbm, Pontiacs etc. He built Phils 428 currently in the Hatari and Stacy's GT/AA motor. I think he also just went thru someone's SS/AH motor and a wedge mopar as well. It is not uncommon for him to have 75-100 engines in the shop. He head and cast intake work is second to none!

Jerry "superman" Silveus has won Indy two years in a row, do I need to say anymore? His engine is built by the same person that builds mine, Voges Cylinder Heads and Engines.
