My father owns a 69 super bee and I was wondering why aren't there more racing? Where have all the b body cars gone?

We sold ours but I plan on getting it back, NOT FOR A RACE CAR THOUGH. To my knowledge they are too heavy and really aren't competitive in any of the classes. It is one of my favorite cars ever!

Why aren't they competitive? Do they have a bad horsepower rating?

Gregory Gay in Division 1 has a C/SA Super Bee. John Leach has a Road Runner also in C/SA I believe and Francois Periard has an A/SA Road Runner. I'm thinking there aren't more because the E-bodies run the same engine combinations, are a bit lighter, and have a shorter wheelbase. It's really cool to see the B-Bodies on the track though !!!

I don't know if this ones a real '69 440 Six Barrel car, but this '69 Road Runner sure does look good...and yes there are still a few of them racing in various classes.

I wish you well with getting it back, because after last weeks Jegs Pacific Sportsnationals in 'Vegas, Chad Loge's '70 GTX was 3rd quickest in E/SA, and within .18 of the quickest car in that class, besides being 27th qualifier out of a field of 58 cars. More significantly, he also qualified for regular eliminations at Indy this year (123rd qualifier, at -.800 under the E/SA index), inspite of all of those more popular combos, and the newer stuff...knowing how well you guys power mopars, I'm sure you can at least do that good with the great history you've had given the vast variety of mopar bodies your shop has campaigned over the years...the weight of the car will be a non-issue with you guys too....
