Would IHRA S/SS cars be eligible or just NHRA?

We (US Class Nats) incorporated IHRA classes with NHRA, the classes that are the same in NHRA & IHRA was ran at NHRA weight breaks, and indexes and some of the lower classes in Stock that had major weight break combo's we put an "I" before the class, like IW/SA.

I havent compared the lower classes in a few years but I think IHRA made thier wt breaks to match NHRA??? The FI cars and carburated cars will be just as NHRA runs thiers in this deal. As Ive said before there are way to many classes.

first off i would like to say thank you for this venture, its the most wonderful thing to happen to sportsman racing in a long time.also i'm in heaven also because i grew up with modified and love the idea.i can't wait for a race in the midwest i will be there as a spectator if the car is not done by then.i would also like to ask a question,on inside comp racing website they have all talked about a nostalgia class for compand thought that this falls right into what you are talking about with the modified/comp theme you are bringing, could it be a possibilty to do something along the lines of doing this and keeping it to a 23 degree head class to help keep the cost down and as a beginner type class for this venture and also bring in some new blood so to speak.i,m sorry in advance to bother you with such minor details,i know you have your plate full i was just thinking outloud. thank you for all you are trying to do to preserve the great sport of sportsman drag racing. scotty d .

OK, since I've not raced in a couple decades. I missed the above event. So, will this be a qualifier event, run on a ladder? Or will we have class runoffs? Then like the national events I remember, usually class winner and maybe top qualifiers, if they lost in class, got into the finals?

The ladder idea will allow everyone a chance at going at least a round or two, even guys like myself that will have fairly new cars. If class runoffs are the plan, hey, bring'em on, I may be fodder but it'll still be a gas, just to be there. I'll use it as a gage to measure where I need to be in the future. Plus, it'll let me get to know my competition, up close and personal.
