D1 and D3 seem to be the healthiest divisions
I somewhat disagree Mike. There are a few new cars in Florida lately and the SSSA races have been dismal failures for other reasons. Of the last 4-5, 3 races were put on at Orlando during Runday Sunday. They were such CF's the race either didn't get completed or were split/late finishes. The only other race I'm aware of was in Gainesville. It was OK. We didn't attend because we had other commitments. There are usually a pretty healthy turnout of cars at the D2 races, many of which are from our area (Fla and Ga). The norm at most divisional races has stock with the highest car counts by far.

I hope you are right Kenny. See ya at the races real soon.

Hope is not a strategy. It is on life support and is dying and like our own deaths, it’s inevitable. In the meantime enjoy it while you can and stop complaining about the NHRA…rules, quotas, class eliminations, payouts, contingency, etc because the NHRA knows you are showing up regardless!

1320, agree. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts no matter how long that is.

As for the bitching, I complained this year about all the doubles as I prefer more weekends to race, not less, but I genuinely believe D2 has the best div director in the association in Cody Savage. He's very personable and has made some great calls in the past few years. Notably, running the Orlando divisional in 1 day last year when everyone knew rain was inbound the following day. Cut off a qualifying hit and went straight into first round, got it all done in a timely manner and everyone went home happy with a completed race. Guy has been very clutch with his shot calling and I enjoy running under his leadership. Payouts and entries still blow, but you can still have a great weekend with a win and decent sticker money. Sure it's not as good as it used to be, but I was thrilled with bringing in over 4k for winning SG at Charlotte in '23.

In Kansas we have lost a National event track and three divisional races including one at the site of the original US Nationals. Looks like the track in KC is out of the loop as well. Not exactly all bright and cheery here. Very thankful for Tulsa.
