It is here in Florida. We have very few stock and super stock cars still actively racing here. Most have aged out and retired. We have lost a few in recent years. Some just quit. We dont have enough left to support the SSSSA and make it viable. I am in the twilight of my racing career. I am 66 years old and will race until I retire from full time work. Not sure when that will be. Hoping to go until at least 70.
D1 and D3 seem to be the healthiest divisions

I feel very lucky/BLESSED to live in south east KY,I think is a GREAT area to live if you are class racing... combos at Bowling Green is 2 hours away .It has'nt worked out for me to make it to any at Ohio Valley combos about 2 1/2 hours for me,maybe 2025...
I'm within 4-6 hours of Indy, Columbus, Norwalk, St. Louis, Bristol...
I'm 57 and plan on class racing for as long as the LORD allows me to be healthy and able bodied.

We still have quite a few in the Carolina area. I'm happy to be in D2

Cool Re: The Official Start of Silly Season

Compared to the options we have out here in D7, D2 sounds pretty nice!

There are no combo races to speak of, no "association" whatsoever, and only 3 tracks that run divisionals.

With Sacramento Raceway closed, the closest track I can test at is now 3 hours away, to boot.

Yay, California. Unfortunately, I'm stuck here.

I somewhat disagree Mike. There are a few new cars in Florida lately and the SSSA races have been dismal failures for other reasons. Of the last 4-5, 3 races were put on at Orlando during Runday Sunday. They were such CF's the race either didn't get completed or were split/late finishes. The only other race I'm aware of was in Gainesville. It was OK. We didn't attend because we had other commitments. There are usually a pretty healthy turnout of cars at the D2 races, many of which are from our area (Fla and Ga). The norm at most divisional races has stock with the highest car counts by far.
