If I was running there I'd have a radio in the car so I could hear the announcer...he's announcing the reaction times as they leave the starting line!! Good info to have as your making your run!!

Maybe I watch to close. Also maybe I'm wrong too. First round with McNeil Freeman. What is the time again between one stagging and then the other. I thought it was 8 seconds. Seems way longer than 8 seconds to me.

Hey guys, we are on hold... Lee Ream in his D/DA hit the wall going through the traps. The back end came around and he went hard right hitting the wall. Driver got out on his own and looks to be okay.
We are done for the day except for the Alcohol final, Top Sportsman rd 1 and the rest of Comp rd 1. Stock got 2 rounds in, all other classes got 1 round in except SST. We do it all again tomorrow starting at 10AM with Super Street followed by Stock. |

I don't know if they just didn't have someone scheduled or that person didn't show for the weekend but, for the most part the guys you heard on the mic were Tyler Crossnoe the GM of VMP and the retired DD Dave Mohn. Tyler Crossnoe was probably in the works of doing track prep and the duties of the GM of a track (Announcing is not normally one of the jobs) so yes did it suck not having someone announcing every run down the track but, we should at least thank Tyler and Dave for jumping up to the plate to give us some info, being on the mic is sometimes a scary thing...I've done it a few times at my events when the announcer goes to the bathroom or takes lunch and it can be a scary thing tryig to get names right, describing MOV and trying to keep people awake and not bore them to death.
