I think you people misread the administrators post, but that's not important now. Being a bracket racer for 33 years, I got kind of bored with going to the local track every weekend, so traveling to different tracks and seeing racers from other places adds a little more fun for me. I've met some good racers who race in my class and got to now some of them very well. I look forward to getting to the track and seeing who's there where local bracket racing, the same people are usually there. also the competition is different at a division race than at a bracket race. I do like reading threads on classracer.com also.

I enjoy Class Racing for the challenge of taking a different , unusual combination and improving its performance. The sucess of experimenting is gratifying. I also enjoy Class Racer .

One of the reasons I like class racing is all of the great people I have met and already know. I have not met any unpleasant people at all. They are all very friendly and helpful. Everyone makes me feel right at home. When I get beat, I usually go to their trailer to congratulate them and talk for a few minutes. Sometimes I glean a little information, and other times they give me some advice on how to be a better racer. Where else can a beginning class racer go up against a multi time national champion, get beat, and later get advice from him on how to get better! Priceless. I love this sport and I feel privileged to be a part of it. Derek

I enjoy class racer because it lets me keep up with what is happening in all divisions. All the Live from posts are great as it lets us see cars and or folks we would not regularly have the opportunity too. Also afraid to say the banter between some individuals is pretty entertaining and the thoughts of the other racers is always interesting. The tech section is also fun to read and there is a ton of knowledge on this site.

I enjoy class racing for the following:

The Great People

Lining up to run class at Vegas Sportsnationals with the other KA cars and realizing how lucky I was to just be there,

Watching that guy from up north in the Blue Wagon treat the finish line like its a picasso,

THe Great People

Wondering how or why my car was'nt as fast or as attractive as others and getting the opportunity to spend some time in a shop in Modesto and watch someone work and work and work to squeeze every ounce out of his ride. Then come home and do it again and again....

Goin to a combo race in a small town and parking next to a legend in our sport and having same legend spend an hour just chatting and talking racing while your 6 year old climbs on anything or everything he can. (said kid is now 19). by the way that Camaro's gotta be on that expensive list thing...

The Great People

Meeting all the great people all over this great country and being fortunate enough to be able to travel to do it.

Most of all its the time I get to spend with my Mother and Father and my 2 Brothers. Not proud to admit we are CLASS RACING junkies but theres worse things to be addicted to.

For me it's a combination that makes Class racing the best. On one side there is the challenge of improving your chosen combo and the hard work it takes to rise up the Q sheets. On the other side is the people you meet and become friends with from participating in both NHRA/IHRA and Stock/Super Stock combo events. On the competition side there is nothing like heads up racing, two racers battling to see which one has the baddest hot rod on that day in your class.

I am as green as it gets when it comes to Class Racing I have posted some very green questions and everyone wants to help what a great bunch of people. I was in one class race there was only 2 cars so i got a Final sticker.I lost but it was cool just being in a final. I have been trying to qualify for about 2 years . I think 2014 may be our year. Thank You again to all the fine people on Class Racer I will see you at the races.

The racers, the challenge, the fun,the aggravation and the thrill of victory are all aspects that have kept me involved. I`ve stepped away before but always seem to keep coming back.

Being at the race track since 1964, the reason I love class racing so much is back in the 60's & 70's watching everybody plus my parents working their butts off during the week at normal jobs then going to the tracks, even local events working hard to get that hundredth just to be the fast person of the week. At National events back then and remember for the longest time there was just a few, if you won class it was like winning the event. they only took the class winners into the eliminator. And while we was class racing you meet and stay friends with hundreds of people and remain friends to this day. After I quit racing in 1995 I went out on a limb and thanks to Capt Jack seeing what I was doing stats wise (and I was messing around doing for my own enjoyment) the stats gig has taken off. The most filling thing about this whole deal is dealing with class racers and their families. What a wonderful group of racers from coast to coast. I just want to thank every racer I've ever met for making me feel like I was a big part of class racing even after I quit racing. Happy Holidays everybody!
(here is myself and my newest stats boy! Lil Gage)
