Lee - like Brandon said, $75 entry, 100% payback + great Iron Tree trophies and some sponsored bonuses. More info on the flyer (http://www.staginglight.com/customers/ccra12.jpg) and in the CCRA forum here on ClassRacer. The Kenny Koonce, Jr. Memorial Dash for Cash in the last time trial was a free entry deal, $25 bonus sponsored by Ronnie Hamlin. Homer puts up $50 for the Best Losing Package first round, and there are more bonus programs out there, too.
I only got a few pics, but here 'tis... Sterling: I went through my phone and uploaded them to my Facebook page, and then to post here, right-click on the pic on facebook, go to Properties, copy the address of the pic (triple-click on the Address to highlight the whole gigantic thing, then Ctrl-C to copy), then come back here and use the IMG tag (little yellow "picture" square on the Reply toolbar, then paste in the address. Otherwise, you have to download from your phone to your computer, then you can use the "Manage Attachment" tool below the Reply box here to upload. My phone won't upload direct to the forum. The pop-up window uploads the pics (or so it says), but it doesn't communicate with the original Reply window, so posting pics can be a little convoluted. I want to first thank all the racers that raced at Piedmont today for the 1st CCRA race. With the cold temps & the awful wind, it just shows how dedicated the Stock/Super Stock racers are. We had 38 cars enter the race with 35 making the 1st round call. Congrats to Michael Beard for earning the 1st spot in the Kenny Koonce Jr. Memorial Shootout race & claiming $25 for being the Dash for Cash winner sponsored by Ronnie Hamlin. Danny Stanton won the $100 for low qualifier from Lenny & Dawn on behalf of their business, Ultimate Converter Concepts. Sterling Simmons Jr. won the $50 prize for Best Losing Package 1st round sponsored by Homer's Custom Paint & Body--Homer Carty. Homer Carty took the $50 from Bordeaux Machine (Jeff Bordeaux) for having the Best Reaction Time during the race with a .000 reaction time. Guess that's a small payment from Homer to Jeff for all of his engine work
![]() Congrats to Michael Beard for winning today's race over Homer Carty. The lone semi-finalist was Stacie Ridings. The quarter finalists was Mike Longhany & Brandon Peterson. I'd say that both Michael Beard & Homer Carty had a pretty good day as far as collecting $$$!!! Finals Michael Beard .019 6.67 6.678 99.27 Homer Carty .004 6.50 6.542 104.31 Semi's Homer Carty .009 6.50 6.507 104.57 Stacie Ridings -.016 6.82 6.823 98.61 Michael Beard .013 6.66 6.923 82.07 Hope everyone plans to attend our next race, Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Fayetteville Motorsports Park. This race is being sponsored by Currie's Towing & Racing out of Godwin, NC!! Brandon is correct on the entry fee & points fee. The points purse will continue to grow with racer membership & t-shirt sales. Not to mention, that the winner will also receive a free set of Hoosier Racing Tires on behalf of my business, Redline Speed Shop!!!! |

Great showing for CCRA and Ultimate was glad to be a part of it. Yeah, the weather was a little blustery but the great class racing more than made up for it. Congrats to all the winers and all the racers for a great show! Best of luck for the rest of the season and we are excited to be on board with a very well run organization.

Had a great time! These races are perfect if you want to stay local for multiple reasons, fuel prices, time out of work, travel distance, etc. Good turnout for the first race and I think it will grow as the word gets out. Thanks to any and all who put in the time to make it happen!

Thank you to Scott Tilley and Tabitha Draughon for their hard work with the CCRA. Race #1 at Piedmont was well run. I was amazed when I was handed a ladder sheet. I was expecting to go to the tower or trailer to look at one. I didn't really have much time to try to figure out who I had in the next round, because there were no delays. 2nd round to 5th round was done in 1 hour and 12 minutes. We drove 3 1/2 hours home, and were home in time for the start of the 11:00 news. I am excited to be a semi-finalist. When it is Michael Beard, Gil "Homer" Carty, and then me?! Wow, what Champions and winners they are! It was a great day (except for the wind and chill), but in the car was nice!

That's a cool trophy! I wish I lived closer so it would be worthwhile to race for one.
