thanks everyone for the help and advice it really helps.
I prefer Ford but at the end of the day when the time comes it will come down to the best deal/price you know how it goes. So it seems like everyone says go for 28 lol that bumps up the cost :P What about GVW? 7000 or 10000? I could save some $ if its 7000. I also thought maybe a 26footer would be good but they seem hard to come by. im going to finish saving up and buy the tow vehicle first ![]() |

As far as GVW go 10,000 you can switch over to 16" wheels and tires (less problems) and you always end up hauling more than you thought you would. I do some traveling with mine, so I look at long term with both truck and trailer. |

I personally would definatly go for the 28' trailer... When I bought our new one I went to the dealer and found a deal on a leftover 28.
As for the truck to tow with... is it something you will need to drive everyday as well? or will it be just for towing the race trailer? Ours if just for moving the trailer, so we found a small motor home actually cheaper than I could have bought a 1 ton truck.. Just something to think about... |

I would get at least a 28, I know too many people that got a 24 and regretted it afterwards, she will fill up fast.
Getting a dually is your best bet, more stable and has better brakes, you will have a lot of weight behind you. having an extra set of wheels won't make a difference when parking, you just learn to back into a spot ![]() For trailers in Florida, give Kenny Anderson a call at Fast Farm Trailers 561-358-4351 |

I don't regret the purchase of my 24' trailer, but I also don't have any current plans to put a dragster in it either. If that's what you're thinking of doing in the near future, you need to get the 28' trailer, even though the Mustang will currently fit in the 24'.

You can ge ta 26 footer new with 5200 lbs axels for around 6500. If you cant find one, PM me and I'll get you hooked up. A 2500 will be fine until you start putting to much crap in the back of the truck or in the trailer. If you put a dragster a golf car or scooter and essentials with an equalizer hitch, I am sure you will be fine. But if you bring the whole shop, get a 3500 and a 28'+trailer. You may regret a 24 footer with a dragster. You can always put cabinets the long way across from the door on the road side, not at the head of the trailer. A 26 foot V-nose would let you put about any dragster including most top dragsters in there. Just my 2 cents but I've tried a lot of combos and now have a 36 stacker so dont get to little of trailer. I know my 36 is more than I need and I like that better than wishing for more.

I pull a 28' trailer with a GMC 2500 diesel and it is just fine.
