Here's one for ya..... When I raced my SS cars out of Jimmy's shop in the late 1980's I was driving the SS/K Chev II and Jimmy was driving my SS/L Chev II. One year at the Gators I told Jimmy to take the high end chip out of the MSD and leave wide open. I told him that I'd been driving the K car like that for a couple of months. We were leaving the starting line wide open at 10,200. Jimmy drove the L car to the semis.

3/8ths like a big block Chebbie and a 383/426/440 wedge MoPar ! The Hemi "Cuda guy wants them because the 5/16ths stems are a little fragile at 10,000 RPM's.

I agree and why not while were at it go with any valve dia. any cc's in heads any compression, any cubic in. Let's all go Pro Stock racingggg!

Just kidding, lets leave the rules to where they resemble some form of a stock class, if not why not just go to the local ET race and save a whole bunch of gas and time just to out run your buddy that has built his car to the same rules you have. With out the rules the class stops being a class and becomes a bracket.NHRA has already taken away some of the meaning of having a class car when you aren't awarded a spot in the race for winning class.

If they allow this they should just jump right into eliminating cylinder head volumes too. Tunnel rams, inline carburetor placement, smaller rod journals, clutchless transmissions, all completely uncalled for changes that were made. What was wrong with the previous rules?
Superdave, when you serve up a fat ball, it gets knocked out of the park!

As Alanis Morissette sings "ISN"T IT IRONIC"

" It's like PAIN on your WINNING day, A large piston which YOU already made, It's the good advice you just won't take" etc etc . Signed, Dense!
