One question I have is as I travel across the country I see the triple hooked trailers and the way they whip across lanes even without a cross wind. How in the world do these states allow the triple hooks which end up at close to 100 ft in length travel on the roads? Missouri is one of those states where I see these all the time I believe and Missouri has a 60 ft limit.
Are the laws outdated or what?
The triple hook setups just have never made sense to me due to safety concerns.
My 2 Cents
Hi all,

Several months ago I had posted information on this subject after doing research and speaking to Motor Vehicles a Federal official etc.. I have been in the Trucking Industry a long time and have some experience dealing with overlength issues. Do a search here on the site.Maybe there might be some information that will help. By the way what I did find out is that all state laws are generally different.

Pat I.
