I was only there on Saturday, but it looked fairly busy and people said it was more so on the previous days. Some parking lots were closed/full and saw many vehicles parked on the grass over the curbs!
I spent most of my time on the move looking for specific manufacturers. But, as in the past, I didn't come close to seeing everything in there in one day. At least a few companies I noticed did downsize their displays from last year. I forgot who's display it was, but they had a nice early SS/P (?) Chevelle there painted in late '60's-early '70's style. The Garlits driven prototype Challenger was nice, but I didn't get around to seeing the #001 car in "as delivered" form that was presented to him there towards the back of the building. Weather was beautiful once the sun came up. PRI has a contract there to about 2016! ![]() http://gallery.competitionplus.com/m..._itemId=999446

Dick,
I was there Thursday and Friday and I would say it was as crowded as any of the other ones I have attended. I have been to at least 15 out of the 21, but this was the first one I attended in Orlando, so I dont know how the last couple of years were.

I didn't go until Friday. It was a bit slow on Friday and Saturday compared to years past. It was not terrible, but there was a very noticeable difference.

The vendors I talked to told me less window shoppers but the serious business people were there. I bought a helmet on Saturday that is 393.00 online for 299.00. It was lets make a deal time and we dont want to bring it home.

I noticed a fair number of empty booths with just a race car in them on display, and a few that were just empty. A lot of booths were packing up early on saturday, as saturday afternoon was pretty slow. I agree that there were fewer window shoppers and more serious business people. I think next year will be very different.

Sounds like race tracks around here .You know like putting races on top of races. It will be interesting to see how bad it hurts both ..The PRI show was a success from what i here from the venders i talked to. Most bussiness was done on Thursday and Friday. Although ,I agree on the displays of a lot of venders were sized down.Let's just hope it gets better, and be more positive. We are the ones that are supposed to control this after all. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all !!

We had our best show ever, and this was our third year exhibiting. Over 120 people at each of my two seminars and some GREAT conversations afterwards.
I agree with the other assessments...although there were some people we missed seeing, most of the ones who stayed home were the tire kickers. Lots of very good business was done. I'll be back there next year. Bruce Deveau |
