All they need now is a real return road to the pits that you don't need signs & a road map to follow

So does new pavement mean no more water coming through the track?? I think there should be some digging along side the track.

Wink Re: Leb Valley Shocker

Been told by a very reliable LVD source that the drainage has been there all along BUT, the problem was the mineral spirits used in the traction compound LVD switched to that was eating the binder for the asphalt. This created LARGE gaps between the stones in the blacktop allowing the water to ooze up through it after it started to warm up under the sun. This makes sense as they didn’t have any real water issues for the first 10 years after it was paved with the "previously used" compound. Good to see Howard finally getting off the wallet!

The compund he was using was vp due to a sponsorship deal he had with them, all part of the deal.....but he is going to use vht for 2009 while still trying to honor the sponsorship deal....he really wants this too work. he was very helpful in letting us putting together the top dragster series for 2009 ....and is open to more ideas dont be afraid to email him at the track or call him before he leaves for florida......
