Thanks Tom I'll pick it up when I get a chance.BTW the alts. you mentioned here are way different from the ones I got off the track websites and fan guide.Gonna try Google Earth.

Ed,
If you need guidance getting to the correct layer on the Google Earth application, e-mail me at <cnorton7311@verizon.net>. I had to mess with it for a couple of minutes to get the display I wanted. c PS - When you sit down to drink a beer with my friend, Ed O., let me know. I'd like to sit in. I'll even throw in a 12-pack. |

Ed, those altitudes are from an old book, maby 12-14 years old. The altitudes were probably measured with an altimeter. ........... The Google is much more accurate as it is GPS based. .........Btw, an interesting side note, todays barometer at the Las Vegas race is 27.84" as reported by Drag Race Central. ......This is a raw, uncorrected reading that most racers use with a weather station. ......The official NWS "corrected " baro reading at the Las Vegas airport is 29.98". .....Using a correction factor of .10" baro for every 100' of altitude , this is pretty close. .....Tom
