well I know that GM has cut the camaro drag racing program and while they're at it they might as well delay the new camaro introduction. Here in michigan they have challengers and mustangs sitting on dealer lot at huge discounts...I've said it before I hope the camaro don't end up like the SSR and the GTO. Things are very, very bad for the big 3 and this isn't the time to reintroduce the camaro. Luke

GM/Chevrolet had a major league roll out of the new Camaro at SEMA. They started taking orders for them in mid October and have sold more than 7,000 already. They plan on building 44,000 of them this year. They have a Dale Junior version plus the standard and hopped versions. But no race package yet. They seemed very anxious to play with Ford and Mopar but they have no dough. Of course Ford and Mopar are broke as well, but they were farther along with their race programs before the bust came. Supposedly Ford has a Mustang accepted by nhra for stock at 420 HP but it makes 700+ on the Dyno.

Fred and company really DID NOT CARE about the Sportsman (Stock & Super Stock). When it came to the Chevy side he did everyhting in his limited power to the kill any Camaro special Car builds, he was a closet Pontiac man, not sine the Oldsmobile days has anyone really cared or encouraged heavy support for the little guys!!!
