Decker is all used up for points so he can only sit back and wait. DeFrank is bettering a 62 @ the divional and national meaning he has win 4 rounds before he starts counting. DeFrank needs 2 rounds of points to lock up the championship. Leber needs to win the Vegas divisional to go ahead of Decker by 1 point.

thanks Tim, this point thing is something I don't know how to keep up with. But from Div. 3 and a friend of the Decker gang I just was trying to keep up, also wanted this post to get people to get involved with the sportsman side of NHRA. I mean the pros aren't the only ones with a points battle going.

Last weekend DeFrank only tallied 61 points which was not enough to go with this years best to date. So now he has to win 4 rounds at the points race to start counting if he doesn't do it this weekend @ Vegas then he has his last chance @ Pamona. He is 12 points out which means he has to get 2 rounds of points to win. If I remember correctly one year he had to win Pamona to get the championship and lost to Jeff Taylor in the final which allowed Dan Fletcher to win. But I also think he won Pamona one time to get the championship. Don't forget there are some of the best out there to get through.Bertozzi--Fletcher--Biondo--Leber--we even have some Wolf Pack member there. Good luck to all.

See this is just as exciting to me as the pros battle going on. Just wonder how many people will be watching this battle for a title?

Well here they go. The last two shots at the number one slot, so lets get opinions on how it's going to play out. Vegas and Pomona is all that's left and who's it going to be?

heck, it is way more exciting than the pros to me...I mostly only go on days stock/super stock runs, rarely attend on sunday for the finals anymore. I am going to try and get out to meet Jack M at pomona, but will likely go thurs morning for qualifying. I guess this weekend could determine the s/s world champ, or it could be in Pomona-Tim-thanks again for the above explanations, helped me to understand where each is and why.
