Question Indy Open

According to the news item posted on the Division 3 board,Friday will be "Test and Tune operated by Track". Looks to me they plan on charging an extra fee in order to make a pass on Friday. In the past this was always included as part of the entry fee.I hope I am reading this wrong. Does anybody know if this is the case?

MIke,
Why did you leave Osceola on Sunday?
Did you break anything?

Why would somebody pay $100 to Test and Tune on Friday, when you can Bracket Race in Pro ET for $1000 to win on Saturday for a $40 entry?
The event schedule on page 48 of the September 5 issue of National Dragster makes no reference to a Test and Tune that you have to pay for.The dates of the event are listed as October 10-12,2008,so if "Friday" is only a Test and Tune for $100,that is news to me.

Jim.I had a small problem with the car that could have turned into a big problem so I packed up and went home. I also didn't much care for the fact that they were having a bracket race for the local racers on Sunday.

Mike,
This is Daryl.
I see what you mean about the schedule. Here is the link :

http://www.nhradiv3.com/apcm/templat...123&zoneid=154

I haven't decided for sure yet if I'm going, but now I know that Friday is totally out of the question if there is a Test and Tune operated by the track for $100.
Like I said, you are better off running the Bracket Race in Pro for $40,and I guess I could also run my car in Junior Stock at 4130 pounds????? and that is $50.That is still cheaper than paying $100 for a Test and Tune if you wanted to make some runs.

If I recall correctly, the Friday test and tune has been run by the track for some time now. In the past the test and tune was included as part of the entry fee and I haven't seen anything in print to make me think that has changed. See ya there!

Just talked to Jay Hullinger and the test and tune on Friday is included with the $100 fee for the race. But the runs on Friday will not be time trials counted for qualifying. But there is NOT a separate fee to run on Friday unless you aren't running the rest of the race on Sat and Sun.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

See ya'll sometime on Friday.

Patsy

We plan on being at Indy sometime on Friday. I can't remember if I said we would have jambayla on Friday or Saturday. But it looks like it will be on Saturday since we won't be there til probably late on Friday. So you all are invited for jambayla on Saturday evening. Greg and Marissa--sorry but I can't remember if I said Friday or Saturday, so if you are cooking chili on Saturday, too, we will all be full!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there>
