I was racing at Byron today, and they had some Heads Up racing with some organization called IMSM.I have never heard of them, but there are several Heads Up classes. They all ran on a .400 Pro Tree.
It got me thinking that there are more and more HEADS UP races in S/SS,and if you have the "slower" car,you realistically are NOT going to win. However, the .400 Pro Tree was making the racing much more interesting in my opinion.Any interest in runnning on a .400 Pro Tree for ONLY HEADS UP runs? |

At the Division 5 points meet this weekend, there was an E/SA that ran 10.66.
How are you supposed to beat this if you can "Only" run 10.90? Run a .400 Pro Tree, and leave before you see the yellow and "hope" you get a green light. At least you have a slight chance. I know.....just "work harder" on your car.Thats the answer! |

Both of our cars are at least a little slower than the fastest cars in the class. I'm firmly AGAINST any changes of this sort. If you are slow, work on your car. If you've honestly done all there is to do to your car, and it just won't go any faster, then write to NHRA, to Wesley Roberson or Bob Lang, for a HP reduction. If you prove your case, they WILL LISTEN. Asking for a rule change like you are suggesting is NOT the thing to do. Stock Eliminator is NOT a class for everyone, and not everyone will be successful.

Why are you guys always beating up on yourselves and causing such turmoil in the Stocker ranks. There is always some kind of post and it NEVER leads to any good and/or argreeable answer. So how about this; everyone runs all out in qualifying. No worry about being refactured. If you run over during eliminations ( you can always post a quicker time if the weather changes) you're out. That goes for either the L or R lane or both. No more sandbagging, pedalling or fender racing. If some of the S/SS entries on Pinks All Out can do it to qualify then why not everyone else
