I'm going to check with NJ Dept. of Motor Vehicles and report back on what they have to say.
Being involved in the Trucking Industry for many years I have learned that each state DOT seems to have it own rules. I was stopped with my car trailer at the toll booths on 95 in MD and was told that if I won a trophy for the car it was considered a commercial vehicle! I really think that was someones far-fetched interpertation.
I will check with some of my companies and the safety people that deal with this daily and post back what I find.

Regards to all,

Pat I

I still drag race. But my daughter's bicycle is faster than mine. I'll be back to cars soon.....

I agree on the mis-interpretation.

You should have asked: "So if I get a ticket, I can send in the trophy for payment or use it to renew my tags?")

I haven't had a chance to check with NJ Motor Vehicles on Registration descriptions but I own a Montana RV trailer 5th wheel and my NJ Registration lists it as " PVT Util TRL 22" the same as my car trailer and another small utility trailer I have. I don't know if they make a distinction for an RV.

As soon as I find out I'll post it.
