The 2008/2009 SRT 8 Hemi Challengers and the "package" race cars, like Judy Lilly and Don Garlirs ran, are two totally seperate vehicles.
Yeah, we got that, but...are dealers gonna get greedy (hard to believe, huh?! LOL!!) on the race trim Challys also and hit 'em with a dealer markup? I hope for you ChryCo folks they don't, but my gut thinks otherwise...

Chris, Yes, I just saw the moparts info. Thanks.

As for dealers, I get the impression that they will not be involved with the sale of the race car packages. They are only suppose to go to racers who will actually race and promote the product/brand. Just speculation at this point, but dealers would not have much control if a street enthusiast or car collector would want one. But dealers would make a good drop-off point unless one has to go to Detroit, or wherever, to pick them up. I believe bodies-in-white also had special proceedures and contacts.

Jay Leno will have one before you know it. Some of them will be like the Cobra R's and end up in collectors/enthusiasts hands, no doubt. I hope though that is a very few that do.

I don't think they are going thru dealers. I think some service will handle them. About 35K depending????.
Not street legal. Only for racing. The sticker on this thread is for one of the 2008 SRT8 cars which we sell for window sticker. Lots of brokering going on. Several motor/trans pkges. Look for more info now that the unveiling has taken place. Gonna be fun. Lots of interesting specs.

Bargain priced if they sell as advertised. Low to mid $30's? That's what their saying. 6.1L, 5.7L or 5.9 Magnum engines with manual or auto trans. With all the work on these cars, I can't imagine MOPAR's making any money on them. Sure the racer will have to spend more to get it competitive, but I still say it's a bargain. I predict an easy 650 HP on a stocker 6.1L. What happened to the 392 Hemi supposedly offered?

Anyone else notice the "Chrysler Motors L.L.C." on the sticker?

Is everything Chrysler Motors L.L.C. now, or is this a spinoff corporation to insulate the rest of the corporation from this activity, as well as the non-safety rated disclaimer, and the obvious C.A.F.E. standards hit these cars would cause?
