I heard some chatter about it here, last month .I still don't see it on an official release.
But, I've learned that if MJ says it, it's good...as I sit here in Arizona watching the snow melt ;-)

Obviously a lot of the NHRA schedules need to be revamped, including the D2 race at Darlington. Until IHRA releases a definitive class structure/payout it?s impossible to know if this a good thing. The licensing forms don?t provide for Stock and Super Stock so speculation on Facebook doesn?t provide much reassurance that we?ll have a place to race with them.

All those tracks being bought is stunning and exactly what IHRA needed. The thing is, the money outflow is just starting for running and maintaining them. Obviously, there is now a very deep pocket involved but I wonder if it is deep enough.

Rich Schafer and Alan Rinehart out at IHRA

my personal opinion on this situation is new owner is a nut. Rich is highly respected and connected in the sport. Allan is well known and brings added credibility to the organization.

dont understand why the dude feels the need to own all of these tracks. just get them under the ihra banner where you can hold events. why own them and then have the extra cost of managing and up keep.

i say this will never come to fruition and it is a pipe dream to some dumb azz with $$$ who wants to show the world how big his unit is.

you get rid of the two best people you have put in place is the dumbest move yet. if you were serious about it you swallow your ego and listen to those who know more than you. but i guess his ears are clogged with his $$. i heard he has spent 35 mill on the track purchases alone. use that $ to pay the purses and the people and put the races on. right now i am worried about the future of the tracks he has purchased. because he obviously doesnt have a clue.

ep-0% chance this happens.

Yeah I have zero confidence this organization ever makes a blip on the radar now. I gave him the benefit of doubt on the first debacle but this latest news just shows he's an idiot to let the two people who could make this happen hit the door.

Hope it's not blackrock or vanguard buying everything up for a song with plans to build profitable commercial property to rent out!

"you'll own nothing and be happy" comes to mind.....you either know, or don't.

Isn't Trails a EPA Superfund site? I was told Rader dumped the 55-gallon drums of used oil in that Reven/woods area for decades. All the talk back in the day was Trails had been deemed a superfund site. Maybe that's changed... But if that's indeed true, of all places to buy Trails seems odd if you're just looking for the land.
