The problem was noted earlier, we do not race wheel to wheel (all different circumference sizes of wheels are used), we race beam to beam spaced 1,320' apart start beam is 3" off the ground, finish line beam is 6" off the ground. The multiple categories and
classes and many, many types of cars is the reason. And on that day in this time The published ruleset and NHRA decisions stand. They change the rule, a wrench, 2 nuts and bolts and a cable tether unscrewed and the blade is removed. No crying here personally but a lot of cars will need to be otherwise unaltered in S/SS. Beyond a few...lots of em. It is a fake advantage (meaning there is zero advantage), that has outlived its usefulness. A crutch I certainly do not need to walk or run, and is time to go back to making us both guess which part of my car will break that beam 6" high...bumper, air dam spoiler 1, air dam deflector 2, or tire. (All in Stock locations as mfg.d and 0", 4", 14", & 28" apart under my cars front end), depending on my last 1300' plus move(s). Right now with it there I don't have any affect no matter what I choose to do. Sometimes you get what you ask for.

His car in the photo is way out in front of your tires. And he already broke the stripe beam. Ty for confirming the photo view.
