Fingers curled under the buttons shift with the thumb push down lightly and squeeze the trigger that last 1/8th inch. Just remember though if you go with a reverse manual valve body 2nd gear freewheels...get good brakes on the car!

Do not be a victim of the death spiral of a transmission you cannot use to actually downshift in a car that is also very heavy and has inertia. And get a double master cylinder in it no matter what. Cool car though...you'll love it!

It's first gear that freewheels unless you use a valve body that holds the low/reverse band in first.
