Mike, if the effort is to attempt to grow the sport, the challenge is getting the content to the right audience and that’s not boomers or Gen X, but rather Millennials, Gen Z and Alpha.
Problem is none of them wants to see a TV show about old cars and the old guys that race them with handicapped starts. So my advice is focus on the newer factory hot rods and younger drivers. Otherwise you’re just pandering to a demographic that’s already involved or a fan. Bring the right race content to TV and supported by YouTube channels is the key, evident by the past huge success of Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings though it appears even their time has passed now. The only way what we do survives no mind grows in the years and decades to come is, America has to fall in love with their cars again, to create a car culture that will culminate in high school parking lots across this country as it once did. I can only do so much, but if I can show data to decision makers within NHRA and other places, then maybe we can get somewhere. |

The NHRA doesn?t have a clue as to how to keep this from dying and those in charge don?t appear to care.
Good luck. Last edited by 1320racer; 02-18-2025 at 01:05 PM. |

Also, McCandless, I plan to be there this weekend and would be more than happy to be filmed and speak with Steve about my car and class racing Journey!

Already Subbed to Bobby Fazio as well. This message is hidden because 1320racer is on your ignore list.
