My goal is to drive a pump gas gasoline engine four wheel drive powered street car to the bracket races that runs 9.00 at just under 150mph without doing a burnout, or towing it to the dragway, and not having any of the BS safety equipment rules you all have to abide by.

The NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) changed its street legal rules for cars built in 2014 and newer, allowing them to run as fast as 150 mph and as quick as 9 seconds in a quarter mile without a roll cage or roll bar. This change is due to the increasing safety and speed of production cars.

Chad, would that have been with Joe Threatts 71/72 Mustang 351C car? I remember reading a story about you and that car in Hot Rod or Car Craft many years ago, and thinking how cool that was.

Yes that is correct, grew up learning from Steve Steele, Norm Nevin, who built that car,Eng. and the ones they drove along With Marcel Cloutier 1975 Winternationals winning SS 1968 Mustang Cobra Jets that?s now owned by Dennis Alvey running A/S I?ve never have been stuck on brands, found it fun tinkering with different types and now running my Cuda in stock that my wife and I purchased from my brother that had owned it since 1976
