Re: Plane crash in to pits/motorhomes at Pomona
Thanks for that info Ed. Do you or anyone have info on the other vehicles damaged? Also, any info yet on how the pilot and passengers are doing? That info may take some time to be public.

This guy does a very good job of breaking down aviation incidents. He?s a commercial pilot and dispels a lot of the armchair pilot rumors.

Had heard that rumor too but I would believe his to be a little nicer and most drivers m/hs were parked in the back field near gate 17 I believe

Re: Plane crash in to pits/motorhomes at Pomona
If you go to the Sunday broadcast on NHRA.tv around 06:39:02 Jason Galvin is interviewing Ron Capps. He says that his motorhome was parked in that area. Was thankful to all that helped.

Re: Plane crash in to pits/motorhomes at Pomona
I have been out of town and away from my computer after the race. I was right by the fence on the pit side. The plane passed right above me about 20ft. I saw it coming it was back firing out the exhaust and wobbling in the air. The prop was not turning at rpms. It just dropped out of the air. I can not say enough good things about the first responders. By the time I got back around the fence they had 2 individuals out of the plane. There was fuel all over the ground. This could have been a major disaster.
