As always, thanks for the reports. I will see you guys bright and early on Wednesday morning with my camera in hand. Due to some health issues, this is my first race of the year; needless to say, I am raring to go!

Nice to have you guys back, and thanks for starting the thread. its good to be back at Indy, although it looks a little different. This is the new tower, like they say a picture is worth a thousand words... Enjoy my rolling into video. I will have part 2 tomorrow, getting parked and rolling around the pits.

That seems....underwhelming, considering the 4 story tower and suites it replaced. Am I missing something?

That is a temporary tower until the new one is completed

I posted on the vid about my many experiences with I70. It got so bad at one time that to repave it, they took everything down to bare dirt and started over. Took years and there were numerous 20 mile stretches of single lane. Not sure what happened, but it looks like it's back to the old bumpy, deep groove tire tracks mess.

You are not wrong there! I traveled that mess through Indiana for years and years, even today it still is one of the worst stretches of interstates in the country, and if you've got the minutes to spare, take US 40 across the state as much as you can. Your suspension will thank you.

Yes isn't the Indiana State slogan something like "Finding what you have lost". Yes right there on their Interstates. LOL. The sides of 70 from Indy to the Ohio border is littered with blown tires , compete rims with tires, trailer doors etc. I have to retighten all my interior screws and everything else that is bolted down on my trailer after trips thru that state. You will just be driving down a lane and all of a sudden there is a 6 inch drop off all the way across the road. And every State will tell you the reason the gas tax is so high is to maintain the roads. Bull ----.

We arrived yesterday afternoon and have a great pit spot! Went with Mike and Barbara McMahan to supper at El Toro last night and then to Flapjacks for breakfast along with Jim and Pam Marshall this morning! You can see where my priorities lie!
Larry is getting Dumbo out to get him all shined up and then he gets new Goodyear shoes tomorrow.
We haven?t driven around the pits yet. There seems to be a steady stream of rigs arriving.
