Whatever the quota’s are in the other Sportsman classes just double it and run first round on Monday for them too.
Most racers go to the points race anyway.
Than for the Nationals they’ll have their original car quota.

All that extra car count money, some of it could go towards a bigger payout.
Wishful Thinking I Know !!!
Why not make it a 128 qualified field and let 150 cars in ? Maybe help their AHFS work. 90 more cars = $31950.00

Sounds Great.
Do they have the pit space though ??

And extra revenue should mean Bigger Purse for the sheep.

Looks like they are opening up for an additional 10 more entries in each class. Nothing mentioned about starting from scratch again. Not a do over.

Now that’s bs. If they let the 7s in but not the 8s that didn’t realize there was a glitch!
Come on nhra, make that right! It’s like telling everyone it’s ok to cheat….

Cheating lol.
Everyone had the same opportunity to enter early.
Some just have better friends that filled them in more than others. But the real sad part in this story is NHRA had the chance to really be the hero in this situation. They could have said this whole deal sucks, the racers did nothing wrong and just add 30-40 to each category quota. Parked another 120 rigs out in the road course and made it work for one year.
But in true NHRA fashion at the end when the dust settles they said we really don’t care about the racer, we already got are $42,600 in entry money ($355 x 120 entry’s). Then as an after though they added 10 to each quota. Kind of like a we’re sorry but we really don’t care.
Good luck to all those with 8 grade points tomorrow trying to get in.
