For 2023:
National Championship: Each driver in COMP, SS, STK, SC, and SG is eligible to compete for points at eight divisional and six national events. A driver’s best five divisional and best three national finishes from their eligible points-earning events will constitute their NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series national championship points total. That's 8 + 6 = 14 where points can be earned. Have they changed this for 2024? |

And most Divisions offer a Divisional and National Open together so if someone plans wisely,,you can get 2 grade points at 2 events on the same weekend. I think a couple Divisions do it twice a year,,so you could get 8 grade points on 4 weekends.
