My son and I just got back Saturday from our ninth drag week together with his 10.40 small block 1968 Barracuda.

We got to meet Jim Carter at Carolina Dragway and had lots of fun on the trip.

However like my son said nothing makes a Dodge D3500 feel like a Bentley than driving a thousand miles in a race car!

Kevin,

Yes!

Clark said you raced NHRA Stock and I just had not had time to look you up.

For the others we gave Kevin’s guys a hard time because they had one of the few cars we could pass on the road. We run a 4.10 gear but they run a 4.30.

Great guys and it was great to get to know them.

That’s too cool! Certainly glad to meet you guys! Love the Cuda! Hopefully we can do it again and hang out together a little more. I am becoming a Drag n Drive junkie.

I've been on it several times as a passenger/crew. Loads of fun and camaraderie and it's fun to see what people can get away with driving on the roads. ProMods with license plates in some cases. Running 14 to 1 compression and carry two drums of VP C16 to use on the drive and refilling them at each track. Another with 5:14 gears and no overdrive... sounded like he was stuck in first gear when we passed him on the freeway.

I have been nine times now and it still amazes me to see a car that ran a six at over two hundred miles an hour driving down the road to the next track!
