1970 Stock Eliminator Challenger for sale. After running the car the first half of the year, we’ve decided it’s time to part ways with it. I made 38 runs with it and pulled the transmission out to swap to a new converter, It was at that moment that I noticed the crank had .045” of endplay. I went ahead and pulled the motor apart to freshen it but the crank had multiple cracks in it where it was welded up and it had one bad piston that was .014” undersized compared to the rest of them. I took the block to the machine shop anyway and he said we would have to bore it to 4.400 to get the cylinder walls to clean up. So what we thought was going to be a light hone, rings, and bearings to get us to the end of the year ended up turning into pretty much a whole new motor. With all that being said, we will be selling the car rolling and all the details are below. We have other race car projects that we’ll be lucky to have done by the end of the year, so we just don’t have the time to invest into this car. The car will come with the complete disassembled engine. Aluminum heads and intake with the 1/4 inch spacers to go between them, 6 pack carburetors, complete rotating assembly, etc. Fresh Pro-trans with 2 converters. We built the Dana this January with all Mark Williams parts, lightweight spool and 4.56 ratio. Calvert mono leafs, caltracs, and 9 way rear shocks. Double adjustable Afco shocks on the front. Weld alumistar front wheels, I think it has bogarts on the back but I could be wrong. Dawson headers with EGT bungs on every tube, no sensors included. Champion aluminum radiator. 2 XS 16volt batteries. MSD 7AL2. Racepak data logger. Berry Grant fuel pump and regulator. The car last ran at A/SA weight and can get about 10 lbs light with a 150lb driver. It will be sold with multiple weight bars and also has a weight box in the trunk. Aluminum Kirkey seats were installed this spring with Pro 1 seat belts, it will come with the stock seats which add about 50lbs. The complete 8 3/4 rear end that came out of it will be included with leaf springs, “Hal-lees” QA1 shocks, and wheelie bars. The hood took flight at zmax earlier in the year and now it does not fit very good or look good, it will probably need a new one. The fastest run I ever made with it was 10.237 at 3195lbs (A/SA is 3185) and it definitely had a little left in it. 336 269 six 9 six 8 https://www.racingjunk.com/stock-sup...31&np_offset=0 |
