Didn't Trump want out of NATO? I'm sure all the NATO groups are thrilled Biden has been instrumental in regrouping, coordinating, strengthening, and expanding them right? Yea he's no public speaker and is old, but laughing. Who?...And why? Trump was over their siding with Putin last time he was there, remember.? I had grandparents that hugged the crap out of youngsters whether they were family or just children of friends of friends. I guess I never really considered them "sick" for being too touchy/feely. Lots of people are like that. We never were, our family was hand's off and my wife thinks that was just terrible. Dad was straight home from WWII (Philippines) after losing his only brother (France W/Patton) and we were NOT touchy. Sue my wife noticed it right off 35 years ago. Her family was one of those hugging/touching family's and she continues to be. When I first saw two male friends hug each other I was at a race and thought it was odd, cause it was a new one to me. Two racers greeted each other, and after a quick handshake half assed chest hugged. Some actually hug ! I thought WTF, they gay? !! This was a long, long time ago and you can see this behavior ALL the time now. Its common. Hell I even do it, And don't call me queer ! LOL I think there is plenty of stuff to hammer Biden about without all this " who's he making eye contact with or who did he lay a finger on crap". Hopefully we can get back to the policy differences. I love the discussions Missed you at the Sports MJ.

And nothing about Donald Trump's "naked sexism," including toward his own daughter. Now that is truly turning a blind eye, not to mention the cheating on al three wives, paying for whores. Yep, let's get back to policy discussions like term limits for Congress and the SCOTUS, spending and the holding 650 military promotions hostage to include the Commandant of the Marine Corps! |

Short memories about Trump pulling out of NATO. The USA was contributing 4% of our gross domestic product to NATO. Germany was 1%. Other European members less or zero. Trump made a comment that we might as well pull out. Use this comparison. You have a local union and you are paying $10 million in dues and all other union members are paying $2 million and they want the same protection. Would you call these other countries scabs or slice tires.
At this same time Putin commented that Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries in the world. That is the same time VP Biden threatened withholding billions unless they fired someone. Trump privately said a number of times in 2018 that he wanted the U.S. to leave NATO, according to the New York Times. Remember all the headlines when he hinted that he could leave the defense bloc without Congressional approval before eventually saying that U.S. withdrawal was “unnecessary.” Many feared NATO could fall apart if the world’s largest economy is no longer a member. Verses...With Biden Nato is the strongest and most organized it's ever been. And we were the worlds leader when it came to helping other country's with the Pandemic. I would think world wide Biden is a pretty well liked feller.

The number of United States military personnel in Europe was 63,853 in 2021, compared with 62,338 in the previous year. America's military presence in Europe fell considerably after the end of the Cold War, falling from 315,225 troops in 1989, to 107,158 by 1995. I can't image what it would cost to maintain 315,000 troops in Europe today. We have troops and families living in Europe, of course we are a pampered military with commissary, exchanges, chow halls, DOD schools/Teachers, R&R Centers, hospitals, churches, golf courses, the list goes and we pay for all of this, not the host country, under a SOFA agreement. Most European military are small in comparison to what we have deployed there. They have small active duty and large reserve with France and Germany barely cracking the 100,000 mark of active duty personnel. then you compare that they are up against, 1.3 million Russian Army. I think Europe will come to the realization that Russia is a paper tiger and not the threat they thought they were. So why are we paying more, we pay our troops more, our equipment costs more, they are forward deployed with families, and each base is a little America. |

![]() When you are too quick to label someone, you miss the fine points. Did you ever ask me what I thought? But let me give you a clue...I am not in lock-step with any political party. Like yourself Mark, I was raised by two straight thicket Democrats, I never understood why they never give any thought to the alternate candidate even if he/she promoted their agenda. |
