BTW, Roger was a self taught multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter etc.
A lifelong smoker, he died at 56 of throat and lung cancer. :-(

Scott McKenzie was a band mate of John Philips, who wrote this song..
If you might have guessed, John's daughter McKenzie was named after him. Thankfully he didn't name her Scott ;-)
