It's been said that Johnny Rivers could sing the phone book and people would listen
Here's a two-fer from one of the best albums of 1974 Song written by, Johnny Rivers In memory of Gram Parsons, Jim Croce and Bobby Darin For the 1974 album The Road

Here's an original version two-fer, from the same artist:
BW's version came out I week before the TDN single.. Written by Daniel Moore about a mythical place or state of mind ..or maybe both. This one was also written by Moore but BW added a verse so he's on the writer's credit as well.. Released long before most of the cover versions

No, the late seventies wasn't all disco...
Jay Ferguson was a founding member of the LA band, Spirit. As he would say, Let's go to Thunder Island Live, from Japan >

Formed in J-ville by Donnie Van Zandt, younger brother of Ronnie, and therefore typecast as a Southern Rock band..
They never really sounded that way to me ...More 70's -80's Rock /Pop But here's one of my favorites by them...It's been running through my head for a few days, and now maybe I can pass it off. LOL

Happy 3rd..
This one is from page 4, a long time back.. PPL is only known on my least favorite format, for one song ,even though they still exist and have made many albums. I think that Irving, at the agency in NYC had a daughter named "Amie" and he told the DJs at "classic rock" just this one time only... But you can hear many more...right here :-)
