Just pulled in from a weekend at the Sports. Good to see all the Good Time Gang again. Had some somber moments as my mind kept wandering back to the last time I was there with my recently departed Brother John. I went down to help some of my customers (and Friends). Fogle wanted to turn his new Gale Powley motor loose and see what it had so the challenge kept my mind on "work". As I worked on his Holley system, Pat Kronenbitter made a 4 link change, pinion angle, rear shock, starting line RPM and struts. Pretty much everything was messed with. Some things worked, some didn't. The one problem we couldn't overcome was a little pesky guy named Dan Jacobs. He was on the pole, and we just couldn't get there.
Anyway, one thing I need to mention. We were pitted directly across from the teck line. Travis and Dave Lay worked their butts off. Every car was thoroughly looked at. There was no rushing. Not that it made any difference to us, but S/ST, Gas, Comp..the whole works got the same treatment. They REALLY looked them over.I think when things like this happen,,, it should be noticed. I know I did..

Was that the 5000 dollar Stock/Superstock Combo? If so Ed MCCormicks H/SA White Duster won.
Mark Saunders GT/FA Cobalt in the second Kronenbitter car had a killer day, never had worse than a high twenty light but his car would not go to 3rd gear in the final. They both had high twentys in the final.(I think)
