Looking to build a street car. The only cars i remember is a Chevy 2 that was called The Other Woman, a Chevelle called Indian Summer and a Shelby GT 500. I would go to Irwindale on Wednesdays for grudge racing. Went to Orange County to bracket race once. Then moved to Norcal and did quite a bit bracket racing at Sears Point, Sacarmento and some at Freemont.

The most adds I’ve seen for early Mavericks is on "Offer Up". There was one in Temecula and one in Bakersfield that look to be current.

I was at Irwindale on a lot of Wednesday nights around ‘74-‘77 with my ‘67 GT fastback it was a GT500 style (without longer nose) my buddy Steve had a ‘68 GT500 (blue) and my brothers ‘69 GT500 (also blue) were there many times with me. My most memorable Wednesday night was the night I was sitting in the car waiting to go and they held me up to pull a car up on my right outside the staging lane. I looked over and it was Don Prudome in the Army funny car sitting right next to me and they fired it up! All I could think about was my new paint being burned on the side of my car. He pulled out and made a pass, luckily my paint was fine.

It ran low 11s back then when he put the Big Block in it.
