From the rulebook.
Anytime it has been judged that excessive braking has resulted in loss of control that results in contact with the guardwall and/or light fixtures or crossing the center boundary lines, INCLUDING PAST THE FINISH LINE, the contestant will be disqualified. Contact with guardwall, barriers, or any other track fixture (rubber cones, when used, are considered visual aids, not fixtures) is grounds |

CB,
I like your commentary and questions. Just remember, no matter how many questions are asked and how many answers are given, we are in their sandbox. And that means at anytime, the Division or Tech director can escort anyone they want from the playground.

Has something changed recently? The excessive breaking has been in the rule book for a number of years.

Breaking and Braking. If excessive neither is a good thing. Easy, I'm kidding!

C’mon Charley, excessive braking…it’s the usual suspects. You talk to the majority of them on the phone every week. Occasionally the DD actually has the ballz to DQ them. A week or two passes and then they get brake happy all over again. Unlike the whiny azz, chicken chits that believe BLINDERS are the work of the devil , I don’t have a problem with anyone that HOLDS or DIALS SOFT. If that is your program then more power to you. To each their own . My only advice when you are racing me, PLEASE stay in your lane ….

I would assume you get one warning for the first time then the boot for the second time in the same event. That's what it looked like at No problem race a few weeks ago.
