Re: Radial Walk
Something that's often overlooked with this problem is rear thrust . I've had several cars with this issue that squaring the rear axle in the chassis ended the wobble.
Unfortunately curing radial wobble is much like fixing the "death wobble " on Jeeps , there can be many causes from toe, caster , front to rear shock settings and even tire pressure.. I have also heard of trying the toe out solution , while I would NEVER recommend it ,if it solves the problem ,I would suspect tire pressure it be an issue.

Re: Radial Walk
What pressure are you trying to run in the back tires.

Re: Radial Walk
We have run from 12 to 19 in one-pound increments.
Before we had problems we ran 17 to 18 normally.

Re: Radial Walk
We had that on my son's Chevy II when he first bought it. He said it didn't feel all that bad but watching it from the starting line was terrifying 😳. We just went back to bias ply.

Re: Radial Walk
12 is at the upper end of what I can run in my tires. Hoosier 13.5 x 31.5 radial sometimes it will rock and roll at the top end a bit but not every run and sometimes not at all at certain tracks. I Never run more that 12.5.

Re: Radial Walk
Fought it mightily on a very well-built Cavalier GT car. Tried everything and could never get completely rid of it. Was sent to Mike Crutchfield with the promise that Phoenix drive tires would eliminate the condition and they did.

Re: Radial Walk
I sure appreciate all the sage advice!!
This week we are rebuilding the front end again and replacing the struts with some with Heim ends to help adjustment ability. We are going to put on rear roll bar as well.

Re: Radial Walk
Hi John We have had this issue on several SS cars and by tightening up the front shocks , it eliminated the bounce or wobble. most racers run their front shocks on the lose side , I think. this was not at the launch, but going down track where the problem is ?? Thanks Bob
