Godspeed Tom Gaynor 😢

Tom was such a smart, genuine, and kind man. If you did not get the chance to know him, you missed out on a great human being. We always looked forward to seeing him at events we knew he'd be at. Seeing him in Pomona at the AutoClub Finals this past November and watching his grandson, Ty, write the dial-in on his Cobalt in front of the tower was such a cool thing to witness. We were sure lucky to call him our friend. His presence will be missed.

Very sad ~ when I heard this yesterday I didn't want to believe it... Tom always went out of his way to be nice to me. When I had my open heart surgery in 2014 and then went to the Woodburn points meet Tom was the first one to come over to welcome me back and tell me how glad he was to see me. I last talked to Tom last November at the Pomona Finals when we raced the first round ~ I extend my deepest sympathy and prayers to all of Tom's family and friends. God Bless ~ he will be missed

I am fortunate to have met him, and have laughs together when we go out west.

I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that Tom won't be at the next race.
We raced against each other several times. He was a fierce competitor.
One my favorite memories of Tom was at Mission Raceway Park.
He was pitted just a couple of spots beside me. He won his first Divisional
race. I felt honored to be there and witness the pure elation for Tom and Tommy and the crew.
Prayers for all of his family and closest friends.
