If a former Champ entered Stock and Super Stock then withdrew from the two categories, would it be possible for them to enter S/G and Super Comp at the same race? If the Champs do that it would double the “Thank You”
fee to them if they withdrew again. |

If all the world Champs got in before the quota was met that would reduce the risk of it becoming over quota. That way one drop$ out and one get$ in.

Since NHRA will never raise the quota...
This may slow down Charlie's plan, which I think is genius but not practical, Is to have any replacement racer to have the same amount or more grade points as the original racer (an 8 for 8, 7 for 7...). A former World Champ's spot would have to be replaced by the grade point amount that met the quota (filled at 5, you would need 5+). |

Better idea yet is the past champions provisional entry never gets counted toward the quota. Then the champs could enter any time they wanted and not take the place of someone that has the required amount of quota. With the quota numbers being so low now unless you have 8 GP you might never get to enter a national event. I am sure there are some sitting on the side for the gators that have 8 and didn’t get in.
