I was very sorry to hear of Dicks passing, I met him after we moved to Arizona. I, Like others would stop by Dicks Automotive for a little "Bench Racing", and then see him at the local races. RIP my friend. Bob Elliott

I found out this sad news from Wes McCann. I too am thankful for knowing and bench racing with Dick.
Rest in Peace Dick.

Thanks for posting Mark.
Dick and my dad were best of friends back in Cornhusker Raceway days--pretty certain he built an engine for my Dad's '69 Bel Air back then. I was a baby when we moved away but Dick would still call me 50years later to talk and share stories about my dad and him racing together. Sad to hear this news--rest in peace Dick. |

Spent a lot of time at his shop with my dad. His favorite saying was "they could screw up a soup sandwich"...
