Older seats aren’t as strong as the Kirkey or accepted seats. I know looks come into play but safety trumps that. We need the side support and head/ neck support in case of an event. It’s a good call and a great option- IMO.
The Jaz aluminum seats are smaller and less obvious than the KIrkeys. And can be made to look almost like vintage muscle car buckets when finished right. And they are lighter.

I went with the Jaz aluminum seats and MJ Quinn did custom covers to replicate '69 Camaro seats!

I can’t say they look ridiculous, but they do look out of place in some cars.I used kirkey low backs with a head rest on mine. That said, the taller seats are probably a little safer.

A few years ago,I joined the race seat club too.
Most will say it is for safety, but the real reason is to get weight out of the car.
Not bashing your comments. You are actually correct.

Simple question, We all know the west coast is dying in terms of racing venues, why do they still have better car count's than any other division?

I was under the impression that D1 events as a whole got the highest class car counts
We regularly see close to 100 stockers and 75 super stockers at D1 races. This weekend we are at 81 and 61.

I'm thinking Division 3 races definitely have more cars than west coast events?

I agree with that! I've been to several points meets in the last few years where a handful of cars didn't qualify. Indy 2019 points meet stands out, 132 stockers or something like that.
