Those pics are not current day race. There is a bracket race happening there right now and that's where the wreck happened. Not at an NHRA race like the pics posted

If your referring to the crash in the pits involving me on my scooter getting nailed by a kid about 13 years old in a golf cart, pictures would be much appreciated. The kid took off while I was getting treatment in the ambulance and has not been found. Pictures might help identify him and the cart.

I was leaning on the fence at the 1500' mark when Steven Schmidt's beautiful 66 Nova got ugly. It seemed to me both Steve and Tom Armanino wiggled a bit after lifting. Steve started to sway back and forth. It got bad real quick. It rolled onto the driver's door then onto the roof. It kind of spun on the roof and then did a twirl on the front bumper and landed hard on all four facing the wrong way up against the guard rail. Steve climbed out the window within 15 seconds. It was real windy all weekend.

I was told there is a effort being made to help Steve get his operation back together. Bobby Fazio is supposed to be involved. I remember back in the day Dennis Alvey was helped out.

Darin,
I'm sorry for your mishap and hope you're well, but I live in community where the parents allow their kids to drive golf carts irresponsibly and it's just plain stupid. For them cool doesn't include caution. We were all young fools at one time. Sue the N.H.R.A. for all it's worth and it will stop.
