Qualifying Bonus for 2022
Another new program making a return for 2022 but, in a different format is the Qualifying Shootout. Let’s be honest after a long day of racing at the track the last thing you want to do is beat your equipment up for 3 more passes. So Jerry Holcomb and his company JA Pest Control Solutions came up with an idea. This year we will do a year long qualifying points series. Just like the old Top 8 Shootout the #1 qualifier will get 8 points per event (needs to be a member), #2 - 7pts, down to #8 - 1 point. At the end of the 2022 season we will add up all the qualifying points (will be separate from the regular 1-2-3 points you get that goes towards the regular points total. At the 2023 banquet next year, the Top 3 per class will get:
1st - $125 2nd - $75 3rd - $50 All thanks to Jerry and his company on this twist on the qualifying event and making the .90 series even better! See less |

Re: Qualifying Bonus for 2022
It was also an added bonus Keith to the racers. The funds were not there to do a full event. I worked on every avenue there was, and nobody was interested. The sponsors that were interested wanted to be involved in making the .90 events more payouts which we are doing. Remember Bill Phillips and W&T Pipeline were a major investment into the Top 8 shootout and paid out 90% of all the payouts the past 3-4 years we did the event, unfortunately with Bill's passing that is a supporter that will not be coming back. Even if I paid out $800 to the winner x 3 classes and runner-up, semis and 1st round loss, you're looking at $6,000. Jerry is putting up $750 for the 3 classes, if you can find me the support to cover the other 5,250, I'd be glad to get the Top 8 shootout back up and running but, until now, this is the best alternative to this.
