So far only Phoenix and Vegas are on point for D7. Moreover, there's only 4 races here, and a TBD. What's going on with Tucson? Sonoma?

Gary, Tucson did not do well with the low car count. I’m not sure that they would want another divisional without some guarantee from NHRA.

A couple of years ago they had street burner # 2 ..Lil Daddy or Daddy Dan or something. We were there for a bracket race during the day .No spectators of course. As soon as it was over , the crowd started pouring in for the TV guys..It was huge! They know what side of the bread the butter's on..Can't blame them .Without 500-600 cars the NHRA stuff is a loser. Better face reality in 2022, guys.

That's a bummer, but I am not too surprised. I wasn't originally planning on going to Tucson either given the somewhat yo yo effect of Phoenix to Vegas, to Tucson, and back to Vegas (especially after my only winning one round of one race this year). I (unlike many others), changed my mind and showed up. My budget may have thought it was a waist of money, but it was a semi-home race, and it gave me one extra race to enjoy running #78 on my car.
We only have four races on our schedule thus far, so it'll be interesting who'll step up for the other 1-3(?) races next year. I feel better about LVMS than either Tucson or Sonoma. I wish we still had RMR!!!

This makes me wish their points race would've been scheduled the weekend prior to the Vegas national event, instead of after the Vegas doubleheader. Why? They could've used the prior wknd., to snare racer's from the east-southeast area enroute to Vegas.

It would help car counts if the events were not scheduled "back to back". If the schedule posted here is right. Here is part of what a lot of D1, D3 and Canadians will probably do.
Cecil County Dragway (Regional) May 20-21 Maple Grove Raceway (Regional) May 27-29 Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park (Regional) June 3-5 Lebanon Valley Dragway (Regional) June 10-12 I've never tried to do anything like this! Don't break anything! Ray
