RIP Lee Valentine, he was helpful when I started putting together my Stocker 5.0. Just saw him at Numidia and had a nice little conversation with him. He was even wearing a CRT shirt last time I saw him. Very sad news.

Lee was at a Memorial service for another racer, when he was introduced to a guy building a 3rd gen. Camaro. He ended up giving him stainless step headers, converter, parts, etc. It was about $3K worth of stuff. Gave it to him. Says it all.

Carol, Bryan and the Valentine Family-
We are deeply saddened to hear of Lee's passing. We have many wonderful memories of Lee through the years and we will treasure them. May you find comfort knowing that he will be remembered always. Godspeed Lee.
Wishing you peace,

Default Re: Rip Lee valentine. Memory service to honor a great race

We’ve had a number of people inquiring about service details for my Dad. At his request, we will not be having any official services, but he’s not getting off that easy! We will be celebrating his life on October 16th from 3:00-7:00pm at the VFW, 257 Veterans Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598. Casual or race track attire would be perfect. All are welcome, just bring your favorite Lee Valentine stories! In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either Racers for Christ, a cancer research fund, or your local pet rescue.

My son, Rodney is currently racing one of Lee's and Bob Schmalz's old cars in NHRA D3, a '68 Camaro that once said "Peekskill Auto Body" on it. Never met Lee, but may he RIP.
